The gap between the NBA and the WNBA is closing, with the women’s basketball league outpacing the men’s league in growth rate. The rise is even forcing the simultaneous debut of WNBA Europe League, which could launch alongside NBA Europe in 2027. At the heart of this spectacular turnaround is none other than Caitlin Clark.
Numbers show that Clark broke the barrier to rank alongside LeBron James and Stephen Curry in the basketball popularity list, amping up the league’s overall popularity. But this popularity could be an indirect reason for one’s business decision.

Stephen Curry Parts Way With Under Armour Due To Caitlin Clark
Curry and Under Armour ended their 13-year partnership in November 2025, which came as a big surprise to fans who had seen the Warriors’ guard leading sales for the brand. Now, there were many speculations about the split. Bloomberg reported that Curry grew frustrated with the failure to add big names.
Veteran guards like Marina Marbury and Kelsey Plum are Under Armour’s WNBA representatives, but after the brand failed to land Clark, the four-time NBA champion felt that they didn’t invest in his brand enough. Curry and the company both wanted to bring Clark into the Curry Brand, as per the report.

Caitlin Clark’s Nike Signature Shoe Will Be Out Soon
Even though the former Iowa star is the face of the WNBA, Nike does take time to delegate the status of signature athlete. Yet, the sneaker giants are shortening their period for the Fever playmaker as per a recent interview with CEO Elliot Hill. He confirmed that the work is already underway and mentioned that Clark has spent time inside Nike’s headquarters designing both the shoe and a new signature logo.
