NBC chose Caitlin Clark as a special guest for a blockbuster game between the Lakers and the Knicks at Madison Square Garden. The star put up entertaining analysis and also spoke about the WNBA side, too, on NBA pre-game analysis.
There were claims that Clark’s per-game segment received more views than the actual NBA game. But fans didn’t like the whole segment, especially a portion in which co-host Reggie Miller compared CC to Celtics’ Payton Pritchard.
Caitlin Clark Reacts To Payton Prichard Comparisons
The NBA’s former three-point shooting leader first lauded the Fever guard as the best shooter in Indiana, taking over the title from him and the Pacers’ guard Tyrese Haliburton. Then came the shocking comparison, in which he praised Payton Prichard as a clutch player and drew a parallel with the 24-year-old star.
While many see CC’s traits similar to Stephen Curry, the player also ‘silently’ didn’t like the comparison, and when she got the chance, showed her true feelings about the same by reacting to the Celtics’ star’s recent buzzer beater.

Her emojis said it all as the player who never commented on Prichard before chose the moment to react. Fans also loved her clap back and showed support to the former Iowa star.

During her segment, the player spoke about her year 3 in the league and also the opportunity to play for Team USA in the FIBA event. While she is raring to go on the court, the player takes inspiration from none other than the Lakers’ guard Luka Doncic.
“Luka’s amazing. He’s incredible. I think the way he can not only score the ball but also the way he passes. He’s not always the fastest, he’s not the most athletic, but he can make a defender move to where he wants him to go. He does a really good job of keeping the defender behind him or to the side. That’s something I can certainly learn from,” Clark said.

The Slovenian star has been very inspirational for the 16-time champions, leading them to fifth place in the conference standings. His role and impact on the games are very similar to what the 2024 rookie does in the WNBA.
