Fans got a glimpse of the 2026 WNBA Season with multiple preseason games on the schedule. One of the high-profile practice matches was between Caitlin Clark’s Indiana Fever and the New York Liberty. Clark mentioned her plan to play limited minutes, giving rookies and new additions a chance to play, and she did exactly the same.
Off the court, though, there is no ‘limit’ or ‘cut’ to CC’s work as the player is involved in charitable work again before the start of the season. At the end of the 2025 season, the Caitlin Clark Foundation-Feeding America hit a new milestone in the fight against childhood hunger, and now she is aiming for a similar impact with her new ‘literacy’ initiative.

Caitlin Clark Foundation With Major Reading Initiative
The Fever playmaker had been making the headlines off the court, too, with her ‘giving’ nature. Clark’s boyfriend lauds Fever star’s generosity for thoughtful gifts to the Butler Bulldogs, while her foundation also joined back-to-school initiatives, giving away school supplies to the needy. Now they have launched another initiative to help bridge the gap between literacy and book inequity.
As per the announcement on social media, the Caitlin Clark Foundation is collaborating with Scholastic and The United States of Readers to help students build a lifelong love for reading.“This Spring, 26,000+ students across 50+ schools nationwide will be invited to join a shared national reading movement—receiving fully funded classroom book boxes and Caitlin Clark Foundation bookmarks,” the post reads.
The program, which launched in September 2021 for students from pre-kindergarten through 8th grade who attend under-resourced schools across the country, according to Scholastic.
While it is a very noble initiative and deserves a lot of praise, there is ‘extra’ work going on behind the scenes for her other inspirational work for children.
