The CBA talks are moving at a glacier’s pace, while the start of the 2026 season is approaching faster. With the contrasting scenarios for both key events, Breanna Stewart reacted to the current state of WNBA-CBA negotiations. The day before, Caitlin Clark spoke about the same situation.
But when the situation remained the same, after the February 2 meeting, the 2024 rookie once again shared a post on social media, which was nothing short of a warning for the league.

Caitlin Clark With Strong Warning To WNBA
The WNBPA and WNBA meeting in New York was an important milestone for the CBA discussions. But two of the key players from the WNBPA – Kelsey Plum and Napheesa Collier missed the meeting due to travel issues. Fans slammed Plum and Collier for their absence, but the league also didn’t offer any constructive proposals.
The situation also annoyed the former Iowa star, who shared a post with a picture of her signing autographs for the fans. She wrote, “Time to get back to a lot of this.”

While it was a clear indication and message to the league that fans and players are waiting to see some progress, or even better, the conclusion of the CBA to get the season started. Clark earlier also dropped similar hints showing her eagerness to be back on the floor.
