Caitlin Clark is hitting the court at Team USA camp, and WNBA fans are loving it. Recently, the Indiana Fever star showed some good signs of health, and the fanbase must be taking a sigh of relief that makes sense.
The Iowa alum is preparing for a fresh start heading into the 2026 WNBA season, but the journey back to full health has given her time to look back on a frustrating and injury-filled 2025 campaign.

Caitlin Clark Acknowledges Injury Challenges In 2025 WNBA Season
Clark appeared in only 13 games last season as a series of physical setbacks forced the Fever guard to shut things down early. What began as minor issues eventually turned into a string of injuries that affected multiple parts of her body and made it difficult to find a consistent rhythm on the court.
Looking back on the experience, Clark admitted the mental toll of dealing with repeated setbacks proved just as challenging as the injuries themselves.
“It was kind of these nagging injuries that continued to build up and build up, and I dealt with one on top of the other,” Clark said via basketball reporter Geoff Magliocchetti. “I think that was probably played with my mind even more than knowing I was going to be out for a set period of time.”

Throughout the season, Clark battled several physical issues, including problems with her lower leg, groin, and quadriceps. Each time she worked toward returning, another setback would arise, ultimately leading the Fever to shut her down in September to focus on recovery.
Despite the difficult season, Clark believes the extended recovery period has helped her regain confidence in her body. The 24-year-old said the past several months have been encouraging as she works toward returning to peak form.
Caitlin Clark Gets Recognition From NBA Legend
While she’s finally returning to the basketball court, Caitlin Clark continues to receive praise from some of basketball’s most iconic figures, with Los Angeles Lakers legend Magic Johnson recently sharing a compliment about the young guard while working together on a commercial project.
Ahead of joining Team USA training camp in Miami, Clark took part in a Capital One commercial tied to the upcoming NCAA March Madness tournament. The project featured several high-profile personalities, including Magic Johnson, Charles Barkley, and actor Samuel L. Jackson.
During a behind-the-scenes video shared by Capital One, Johnson spoke highly of Clark after spending time with her on set.
“Caitlin has a great personality, too,” Johnson said. “She’s into it just as much as we’re into it. You can poke fun at her.”
Despite the generational gap, the WNBA standout appeared comfortable sharing the spotlight with the basketball icon and other celebrities involved in the production.
Clark also reflected on the experience, saying she enjoyed the opportunity to work alongside people she had grown up watching on television.
