Team USA went undefeated and dominated every game in the FIBA World Cup Qualifiers. The young stars shone on the floor, led by Caitlin Clark, who won a major accolade in the tournament.
While it was the Fever guard’s debut season, she led the tournament in assists and also led the side in scoring, making a huge impact in the games. The reason for her free-flowing offence was advice from coach Kara Lawson.

Kara Lawson’s Advice To Caitlin Clark
Playing for Team USA, CC was nervous, which was understandable considering her long injury rehab. But the team showed faith in the 2024 Rookie of the Year winner and included them in the team. Although she didn’t get a starter role in her very first game, coach Kara Lawson’s words showed her trust in the league’s leading assist maker.
Clark recently spoke about Lawson’s advice and said, “Be you. Play fast, play up-tempo that’s what I wanna see. But also, my playmaking ability is what I can bring to this team in setting everybody up and getting this team flowing and finding people in transition.”

The Iowa Hawkeyes used this technique, giving free operations to the Fever guard, and the player ended up as the all-time leading scorer in NCAA history. She did similar magic for the national side.

Caitlin Clark Picks Best Player In The World
The 24-year-old is a hardcore LeBron James fan and calls him the GOAT. While she still admires his game, he is not the best player at the moment, according to her analysis. Making her second appearance for NBC, she opened up about her best player, Nikola Jokic.
“I think everybody knew he was going to do everything he could to get back. And, um, I mean, there’s not many people that average a triple-double. He’s done it all year long and back-to-back years, so it’s pretty incredible. And honestly, he’s probably my favorite player to watch, and I think he’s the best player in the world,” Clark said.
