Napheesa Colier’s criticism, stalled CBA negotiations and coaches complaining about the inconsistent officiating have made the headlines in the last few days. A real basketball fan felt lost in this mess with a huge question mark over the possibility of the 2026 WNBA season. But for these ‘W’ fans, the Unrivaled has come up with a star-studded lineup featuring many big names from the WNBA, except one – Caitlin Clark.
As Unrivaled added two new teams for the 2026 season, with a new valuation. It opened up 12 new roster spots in the league, but the Fever star is willing to let go of the opportunity and has her priorities set.
Caitlin Clark Misses Unrivaled Season 2
Earlier in the week, the Unrivaled shared a complete list of players participating in season 2. The 23-year-old rookie was not on the list, though many expected them to surprise everyone by declaring her name last.

As per Front Office Spots reports, the player is prioritizing her health and looking to be fit for the WNBA game and USA national team games. Chloe Peterson, an Indiana insider, already revealed that Clark might never participate in Unrivaled’s three-on-three format in a recent interview. While the player herself hasn’t confirmed her stand on the league in the exit interview, she mentioned taking a rest.
“I will probably take a little bit of a break here, just for maybe a week. I don’t really want to set back the work I’ve done. I’m just trying to get my body back to full health, and some basketball stuff I need to get ready for. But more than anything, I think my main focus is really just getting my body healthy,” Clark said.

The two-time All-Star played in 13 games with the Indiana Fever in 2025 and suffered multiple injuries throughout the season. She last played on July 15 due to a groin injury, followed by an ankle injury, which ruled her out for the season. She even provided an update on her injuries.
Caitlin Clark Provides Update On Her Health
CC missing the Unrivaled league will be good news for the Fever fans. They couldn’t see her on the court since July 15 and would love to have her back fully fit and ready for the next season. The 2024 rookie provided an update on her injury, which is also an encouraging sign.
“I’ve been working really hard to get back to full health, and I feel like, probably, over these last couple of weeks, is when I’ve probably started feeling my best. My ankle didn’t allow me to really see where my groin was at. I just went to kind of make a move, and unfortunately, my ankle completely rolled all the way forward, and it’s probably one of the worst sprains I’ve dealt with,” Clark said in a press conference.
She added that she had tried to stay positive and work towards her goal of getting fitter. The Fever guard also mentioned that it’s extra work for an injured layer than a fit player.
