The 5-0 record at the FIBA World Cup qualifiers was a pretty much expected outcome for fans. But Team USA exceeded those expectations with the massive margins of wins. Coach Kara Lawson asked players not to look at the scoreboard but deliver in every possession, and the results were amazing for the talented young side that handed debuts for multiple players like Cailtin Clark, Paige Bueckers, Angel Reese, Rae Burrell and Kiki Iriafen.
While Burrell joined the side as a replacement for injured Aliyah Boston, she quickly formed a strong bond with her national teammates and even delivered a controlled performance to help the side win games. A recent viral video of interaction between Burrell and Clark highlights the chemistry these players formed in a short period of time.

The USA Basketball selected top WNBA Stars from various franchises, complementing each other’s play and making an impact on the game for the FIBA World Cup Qualifier games. The two training camps and years of experience competing at a high level and even against each other were enough for the players to form a formidable team.
As a result, Team USA showed no mercy on its opponents and won every game with huge margins. In the locker room, as the team celebrated the win, Caitlin Clark jokingly commented on teammate Rae Burrell’s bare feet as she said, “Look at Rae’s feet. Free feet pics.”

After making her return from a season-ending injury, the Fever guard was first cautious about her game and even asked fans to give her time to adjust to the competitive games. But when she took the stage, CC became the focal point of Team USA’s offence and led the side in scoring and assists with the highest +- stats and efficiency from Team USA.
After the game, she spoke about this sudden change as she said, “When you’re out there, just compete as hard as you can. You give everything you’ve got.”
