It takes two to tango, but that’s not the case if you are Caitlin Clark. The now Indiana Fever superstar guard was once a high-seeding player for the Iowa basketball regime.
During her time at the camp, she made a couple of good friends and paved the way for many players who followed in her footsteps.
Recently, Clark expressed genuine admiration for her former Iowa Hawkeyes teammate Jada Gyamfi after Gyamfi replicated Clark’s iconic 3-point celebration during a record-breaking win.

The Iowa Women’s Basketball Instagram account shared a graphic of Gyamfi, a 2022 Class 5A Iowa State Champion, while she was striking Clark’s pose.
She had her hands raised, three fingers extended, and tongue out after a triple that contributed to a program-record margin of victory.
Though it did not take Clark long to see through the social media guy’s actual view behind the post, she had her love known for her former teammate.
“@jadagyamfi awesome celly brother,” she wrote.

Caitlin Clark’s Former Iowa Coach Gets Honest About Coaching Her
While she’s still clapping for her former mates, Clark’s former coach at Iowa, Lisa Bluder, offered a candid assessment of the challenges in mentoring her, admitting Clark was “stubborn” initially but grew tremendously.
In a promotional piece for ‘The Women Behind Caitlin Clark’, Bluder reflected on Clark’s transition from high school to college.
“The toughest part is sometimes she can be a little stubborn, and as I can be as well,” Bluder said. “And so for, you know, that can be this sometimes. But the good thing is that she was always willing to learn and she wanted to be her best, so she would take it. She took coaching like she wanted to be coached.”
However, it was the same stubborn mentality that had taken Clark this far and would certainly make her one of the greatest to ever do it.
