Caitlin Clark might not have played an active part in this year’s WNBA. But she made sure that her support towards her teammates was spot on. Looking at the injury-plagued Fever roster, many wondered who would emerge as the savior. Thankfully for Stephanie White and co., Lexie Hull was the star of the show.
Despite getting seriously injured, Hull prevailed and took the Fever to the semifinals. Cheering for the Fever star, cameras caught Clark erupting after Hull’s last moment steal against the Atlanta Dream. Meanwhile, despite the WNBA season ending, Hull hasn’t stopped garnering headlines. Similarly, Clark, too, was pretty quick to joke around with her teammate.
Caitlin Clark Posts A Hilarious Reply To Lexie Hull
Hull ended the season on a high despite the Fever missing out on qualifying for the finals. Continuing her merry journey, the Fever star paid a visit to her alma mater, Stanford. Pictured among the college’s women’s basketball team, Hull offered some inspiring advice for the young hoopers. She asked the college athletes to enjoy their academic years. Because once it gets professional, Hull stated that things are not the same anymore.

“Enjoy it all, these four years, five years, if you get six, whatever, these are the most fun years you’ll truly have playing basketball. So enjoy this, take advantage of it…you have a lot of potential, a lot of upside and just know that you have an entire sisterhood rooting and cheering for you guys and supporting you from afar. So just grateful for this gift to be able to come back,” said Hull.
Listening to her inspiring speech on Instagram, Clark could not help but comment, “Real inspiring Lexie.” Surely, the friendly jab goes on to show the strong bond of friendship and sisterhood between the two. Recently, Clark gave the desired flowers to Hull.

Caitlin Clark Heaps Praise On Lexie Hull For Her Impressive Season
The friendly banter is quite normal between the two. Only recently, Hull offered a helping hand to Clark at the Annika Pro-Am Golf tournament. However, the 23-year-old Fever star never forgets to acknowledge how important Hull has been for the Fever. Hull played despite a brutal eye injury that left her with black eyes. She also powered through a back injury, clocking the highest (33.5 minutes) in a game. Thus, reflecting on Hull’s commitment towards her team, Clark had a lot to say in her exit interview.

“Every team in this league should want a Lexi Hull-type of player on their team. That’s just never once has I have I seen her be disappointed in the amount she played. And I was here at the beginning of last year when she was getting DNPs and she’s the was the exact same person as she is right now as you know probably she turned into our third option offensively because you know we lost so many players but also like she embraced that and she worked for that,“ Clark said.
Surely, it is evident that the Fever wants Hull to continue donning their jersey. However, whether she would want a change of jersey color is something that only the future will answer.
