The Indiana Fever have been slumping in performance for a while, and Caitlin Clark is unfortunately leading it. Other than the Fever’s inconsistent performance, it was Clark’s shooting slowdown that got her most of the heat.
During the recent game against the Seattle Storm, the struggle continued for Clark despite the Fever winning the game. And her lower-scoring points got her tagged into a unique WNBA record, she would never want to remember.
Caitlin Clark’s Shooting Slum Leads Her Into Unwanted WNBA Record
The Fever recently achieved a crucial victory against the Seattle Storm, but Caitlin Clark couldn’t avoid the slump. In the latest game, Clark scored just six points, marking one of the poorest shooting outings of her career. She went 3 for 13 from the field and missed all attempts from three-point range.

Over her last three games, she has made only one 3-pointer, adding to concerns about her form. Furthermore, Clark has also been facing difficulties with ball control, tallying 22 turnovers during this three-game streak. In the match against the Storm, she had more turnovers (8) than points (6) for the first time in her career.
Despite her struggles, head coach Noelle Quinn praised Clark and showed her firm belief in the Fever star. Although, the Fever will play the Los Angeles Sparks on Thursday, which will be their first home game since June 17. Many are hoping that returning to Gainbridge Fieldhouse will help Clark regain her shooting rhythm.
As Clark continues to adjust to the professional pace and pressure, she’s bound to face more tough nights in the upcoming games. But her work ethic suggests that this poor form will not continue for a long time; she will make a strong comeback with her performance.
