Caitlin Clark Receives a Surprise From Alexia Putellas
On Instagram, the 2024 rookie shared a handwritten letter from the two-time Ballon d’Or winner, praising the playmaker for her influence and gameplay and making the female sport more recognizable.
While athletes celebrate each other’s success and achievements, Putellas’ actions were from the heart, leading her to pick up a pen and paper. The young WNBA star also responded with a one-liner, “I’m coming out of retirement.” Showing off her cheeky side.

In reality, Clark also takes pride in other players’ accomplishments and often shares their success stories to encourage them. Recently, she showed support for the USA Hockey team in a short video, switching between her regular clothes and a USA Hockey jersey and wishing them luck for the tournament. The NBC is the official broadcaster of the event and the brain behind the video, using its fame to reach the masses.
