Caitlin Clark needs to come back and take the WNBA courts by storm once again. Well, for one, the Indiana Fever would very much like that to happen this year. After all, with Clark out for the season, it was looking pretty grim for Indiana.
However, sitting on the bench, Clark shared her frustration about her lingering injury. Thankfully, as 2026 dawned, the Fever star has finally been able to move past her injuries. And as she is looking forward to making a thumping comeback, a recent report pointed out a concerning trend that demands Clark to come back as soon as possible.

Caitlin Clark Needs To Up The Indiana Fever Stocks Once Again
The former Iowa star has been a revelation in women’s basketball. Since the time she came into the WNBA, the league has experienced a boom. Viewerships have increased, sponsors started to show their interest, and the cash flow too, witnessed a boom. Unfortunately, all of that seems to have diminished significantly with Clark sitting out almost an entire season.
In a recently released statement, more teams have reportedly moved their games to a bigger arena. Unfortunately, when playing against the Indiana Fever, the number decreased drastically.
In an Instagram post from Sporting News, the update read, “In recent years, WNBA teams have moved games to bigger arenas to accommodate a higher demand from fans. A majority of those games were for matchups against the Fever as Caitlin Clark was a huge draw for fans. Last season, nine games had location changes for teams playing the Fever. This season, that number is down to four.”

While this is quite a concerning trend for the Fever, the WNBA as a whole has shown improvements. Due to an overall rise in its popularity, 19 venue changes have been recorded this year compared to 15 in 2025. Meanwhile, as Fever would expect their star player to be back at full force, Makayla Timpson recently heaped praises on Clark.
Makayla Timpson Extremely Happy With Caitlin Clark’s Guidance

Timpson was one of the biggest draws of the 2025 WNBA draft. While the likes of Amber Cox have termed her a ‘steal,’ Timpson seemed to be particularly impressed with Clark. In a recent interview with Mario Cacciangia, Timpson detailed how Clark had helped her come to terms with the Fever locker room.
“She’s a great player, and just seeing her grow and us growing together as teammates, making each other better, pushing each other, it’s going to be great. I love her, how she fights, the things that she’s able to control, and that she doesn’t show. She’s just a strong, strong player, strong-minded. Hopefully, we can just continue to play with each other,” Timpson said.
