The WNBA and NBA have many similarities, with many WNBA stars now compared to NBA legends. Reigning WNBA Champion and MVP A’ja Wilson spoke about her comparison with Michael Jordan, while many see similarity between Caitlin Clark and Stephen Curry, mainly due to their shooting prowess and range.
So many feel natural when CC showed her support to the Warriors’ guard when he spoke about the hard defensive tactics against him. But WNBA analysts see even a deeper meaning in the WNBA rookie’s words and claimed that the words actually imply to her.

WNBA Analyst Claims Caitlin Clark Had A Hidden Message
Stephen Curry was not happy with the close defense during the game against the Hornets, and he openly spoke about it in the press conference. Clark showed her support, saying that fans want to see Curry shooting 12 threes in a game. This was a soft criticism of the defensive play.
But a WNBA analyst said, “She did say something interesting today, though, because I almost feel like she was speaking for herself in a sense in a way that she hasn’t done, you know, outwardly. In her rookie season, she was blitzed more to start that year than any team. This is a strategy.”
He added that the teams put more pressure on the former Iowa player, knowing her ability. Many coaches later also criticized the level of physicality in the league recently, and through her message, Clark wants to address the same.

Caitlin Clark Wants Sophie Cunningham Back At Indiana Fever
The CC was open in her roster selection, though she didn’t speak about all the players; she was open about the selection of Cunningham. They have a good relationship on and off the court. Looking at her impact and usability, the player wants her on the team next season.

Under one of Cunningham’s TikTok posts, Clark wrote, “Time to run it back.”
As per the predictions, the Indiana Fever will protect Caitlin Clark, Aliyah Boston & Lexie Hull, leaving Sophie Cunningham available in the expansion draft.
