Indiana Fever Could Retain Aari McDonald In Offseason
While Caitlin Clark-Aari McDonald’s latest reunion fuels Indiana Fever fans’ push for a 2026 roster spot, many analysts support the idea. As per Athletic’s Sabreena Merchant, out of all the midseason acquisitions for the Indiana team, the former Arizona player makes a perfect fit alongside Caitlin Clark and in Stephanie White’s system.
McDonald played in 20 games for the Fever and averaged nearly 10 points per game. However, fans noticed a striking increase in her shooting percentages, assists, and rebounding numbers as the Atlanta Dream rookie made her mark in the injury-plagued season for the Fever.
Even with CC’s return, McDonald could play as a backup guard to keep the offensive flow consistent and even tighten up the defense. Aliyah Boson, Kelsey Mitchel,l and Stephanie white lauded her impact on the team, which could be a big boost for her chance to re-sign with the Fever franchise.
