The WNBPA and WNBA are poles apart on CBA terms. Though the recent proposals met some of the players’ demands, the key aspects of the deal were the revenue-sharing model and remuneration, which are tied to the Salary cap. Both sides are firm in their stands, delaying progress. Amid this, Cameron Brink made a special request for fans.
With the time lapsed in CBA talks, WNBA fans blamed both the league and the players’ association. But the Sparks’ start pleased fans to back the players who are fighting for their rights.

Cameron Brink With Special Request To WNBA Fans
The PA made its stand clear with 27.5% revenue sharing and a salary cap value, allowing them to earn more in salaries. While the league projected huge losses due to the WNBPA’s demands, discussions might take longer to reach a settlement.
Though players are dealing with the league patiently, fans are now losing hope and control with fear of a postponed or no 2026 season. The 2024 rookie, though, made a special request to fans in a recent exclusive interview with ESPN.
She said, “There’s so much, and it’s such a layered issue, but I would really just say to the fans and to the people that support us, please continue that support and let us know that we’re valid in what we’re asking for.”

“As women, we’re made to feel bad about wanting more and advocating for more for ourselves, but I think it’s just so important to know your worth, and we know we’re worth more,” Brink added.
Napheesa Collier, Nneka Ogwumike, and Breana Stewart spoke on similar lines, while the NCAA Coach Dawn Staley also backed the players, urging them to fight for what is ‘right’. Fans earlier supported the PA with ‘pay them’ chants at the WNBA All-Star and also at the WNBA Trophy presentation. But now, with over three months past the original CBA’s expiration, there has been little progress on the topic.
As for the Los Angeles Sparks’ star, the player is slowly reaching her prime with her participation in Unrivaled and also limited game time in the 2025 season.
Cameron Brink Developing into Defensive Stalwart
The former Stanford star’s bread and butter was her ability to block the shot. Though she is a decent post scorer, her USP is a high blocking percentage. In her college career, she averaged 2.6 blocks per game. The trend continued in her rookie season, with the player sending back 2.3 shots per game.

An ACL injury affected her leap and quickness. But at Unrivaled, the player is at er best once again and even worked with Lisa Leslie to minimize fouling and improve the defensive game. The LA Side will be happy to welcome her in the upcoming season, as she could be a candidate for DPOY.
