While the WNBA season is on the off-beat route, doing maths on where to fit the coming expansion teams, the NBA is thriving at full swing. And the current season is getting all the hype it deserves, along with some veteran commentary from WNBA superstar Candace Parker.
The three-time WNBA champion is embarking on another venture, where she will call games for the NBA. And, needless to say, Parker will get to watch one of the most exciting NBA games of the season.
Much of that could be credited to Luka in large part. However, she was on the sidelines for the Los Angeles Lakers vs. Minnesota Timberwolves game when the Slovenian guard sent her into utter disbelief with his fourth-quarter jumper.

Fresh off the off-season rest, the Lakers have started taking things seriously. Despite it being just the start of the 2026 NBA season, the LA-based franchise is still keeping teams in check.

However, it was his three-point jumper over Jaden McDaniels that got Parker leaning towards another NBA veteran, Dwyane Wade, as her co-host. The clip from the game has since gone viral, and the Lakers fanboys are not getting enough of it.
For those who’re still figuring out how Parker got up to the front chair of the NBA broadcasting affair, she’s long been associated with the network TNT. She has been calling games, analyzing plays, and offering opinions for quite some time.
Candace Parker Will Play A Big Role In WNBA Broadcasting
While the NBA got the first glimpse of what the counterpart league could expect for the coming season, Candace Parker is all set to play a role on Prime Video’s WNBA coverage.
She will be paired with play-by-play vet Michael Grady for the streamer’s expanded slate. The two-time Finalist and three-time champ, fresh off a TNT extension, steps into Amazon’s booth for 30 regular-season games.
Interestingly, this would be nearly double the current load, and the Commissioner’s Cup finale and playoff gems included.
