Thanksgiving is all about family, food, and gathering. While the WNBA is away from the next season gathering, players are making the most out of the offseason.
Candace Parker has been in the league for a long time and has experienced both the good and the bad seasons.
Now that she’s a retired veteran, Parker faced a playful plea from podcast co-host Aliyah Boston.
While there was much to add to the context, she named Caitlin Clark as her ultimate choice for the Thanksgiving dinner table.

Candace Parker Details Choosing Caitlin Clark For Thanksgiving
Recently, while appearing on a holiday special of her podcast, the three-time champion was asked to draft her ideal Thanksgiving dinner table from a list of hypothetical lineups.
Faced with options involving everyone from A’ja Wilson to Diana Taurasi, Parker bypassed the usual suspects to lock in a seat next to the league’s biggest star, Caitlin Clark.

Her reasoning, however, had nothing to do with basketball stats or passing the torch. Instead, Parker’s decision was based entirely on the potential for “weird” conversations. Though Parker always had high expectations of Clark’s return.
“I’m into history, and philosophical conversations, and conversations about aliens, and all that stuff. So I’m going to go with table No. 3,” Parker said. “I feel like those discussions… Sue definitely talks about aliens. Cheryl Miller, 100% philosophical. Azzi, you know, she’s [a] mature, college student.”

Additionally, she specifically pointed out that Sue Bird is the key to the alien talk (“Sue definitely talks about aliens”) and that Cheryl Miller would bring the deep, “100% philosophical” vibes to the table.
Caitlin Clark Shows Respect For LeBron James On Thanksgiving
While Parker was busy planning alien debates, Caitlin Clark kept her actual Thanksgiving activity brief and respectful.
The Indiana Fever guard took a break from the holiday festivities to scroll through Instagram, where she spotted a post from LeBron James celebrating his recent performance.
Clark simply dropped one word in the comments, “King.”
However, LeBron has been one of Clark’s loudest defenders since her college days at Iowa, frequently praising her game when critics tried to downplay her impact.
