While players are going up against each other as the season heads to the pivotal WNBA Finals, league veterans are taking long strides to stardom. Just months after Candace Parker was all love after TNT Sports‘ lead sports analyst role, she has Amazon Prime Video’s next big offer coming her way.
While the former WNBA veteran was hanging around the sidelines cheering up for her favorite young stars, Parker has been named as the lead broadcaster for Amazon Prime Video’s expanded coverage beginning in 2026.
Candace Parker To Lead Amazon Prime Video’s Broadcasting Role
Parker’s appointment comes at a pivotal moment for women’s basketball. As streaming deals deepen and audiences grow, having a marquee name like Candace Parker on the front line adds gravitas. The change signals that Amazon aims to make the WNBA as compelling to watch off the court as it is on.

Amazon’s announcement confirmed that Candace Parker will spearhead its WNBA coverage beginning in 2026. This shift builds on the existing relationship between Parker and Prime Video, where she already contributes as a studio analyst. In that role, she has covered both NBA and WNBA content, lending credibility to her expanded duties.

Candace Parker Comments On Cheryl Reeve Drama
Transitioning from her broadcasting role to public commentary, Candace Parker recently weighed in on the drama involving coach Cheryl Reeve and WNBA officiating. In particular, she addressed Reeve’s fiery postgame criticism of referees after a semifinal matchup.
Parker supported parts of Reeve’s argument. She called the officiating in that game “malpractice” and questioned how certain referees ended up working a semifinal game. However, she also said she could not fully sympathize with Reeve, given her stature and success in the league.
