Peck pointed out that she was not surprised at how the league has been growing. According to her, this is a natural evolution process that everyone is witnessing. Surely, with media rights and merchandise sales coming in, Peck expressed her happiness about the same.
Carolyn Peck Heaps Praises On WNBA’s Latest Boom
Carolyn Peck is someone who has witnessed the entire transition of the WNBA. Appearing in an episode of ‘The Wrap Up,’ she stated how the female athletes had to always imitate their NBA counterparts. On the contrary, today’s athletes have their own WNBA idols to draw inspiration from. She also expressed satisfaction with how females are practicing their sport from a very young age.
Explaining her thoughts further, Peck detailed how the masses have become interested in the game. With people lining up, the ticket prices are going up, in turn, benefiting the league.
“It used to be, dads bring your daughters. Or moms, bring your kids, it was a women’s sport. This is a sport for everybody. When you go to these arenas, there’s all walks of life that want to see these women play,” Peck said. (Via The Wrap Up)

Boston Celtics’ minority owner, Steve Pagliuca is preparing for a $325 million deal. The deal is reportedly to acquire the Connecticut Sun, who are currently struggling. After a complete shakeup of the roster, the rebooted squad has failed miserably. With just five wins and 21 losses, the Sun has hit an all-time low.

According to reports from The Athletic, the Sun has been touted as the second-worst-run organization in the league. Surely, if the Pagliuca deal does go through, it will solve some major financial problems for the Sun. Pagliuca also has plans to relocate the team to Boston.
