Anyone who could question A’ja Wilson or react absurdly to the superstar forward’s comment, then it’s only Chelsea Gray. The Las Vegas Aces guard had been with the LV side since 2021 and led them to two WNBA championships alongside the towering forward.
While the USC star was talking about preparing for the games, the 32-year-old guard lost her control and was in shock at her teammates’ answer. Gray, who recently surpassed her former teammate Kelsey Plum in the Aces’ all-time assists list, exclaimed, “That’s going to go viral.”
Chelsea Gray Stunned By A’ja Wilson’s Answer
Since the All-Star break, the 6-foot-4 star had been in blistering form. Recording double-double performances on a nightly basis. As per ‘X’ post by WNBA, she even became the first player to score 30+ points and grab 20+ rebounds in a single game. A’ja Wilson In MVP Conversation Again
At the Start of the season, Napheesa Collier was the runaway winner for the WBA MVP accolade. Phee’s injury halted her excellent season while the Aces’ forwards found the form at the perfect time.

With back-to-back 30+ point performances, the 29-year-old forward now averages 22.3 points in the league. Moreover, her outstanding scoring spree helped her side rack up wins and climb up the standings from a near-impossible qualification scenario.
Leading the league in blocks, she set a new block record in the 2025 season. The reigning MVP also stands second in points and rebounds average this season, putting up a solid challenge for the MVP race once again. If she continues to dominate the games like this, she will once again win the MVP accolade for the record fourth time.
