The Chicago Sky hit a new low in the 2025 season, with a maximum of 13 wins possible, the franchise will end up with its worst record in the WNBA. Superstar Angel Reese even dropped a warning message to the franchise asking them to make moves to improve the roster for the upcoming seasons.
Amid this, a frustrated fan posted a list of superstars the Windy-City franchise let go throughout its history. Former Sky star Chennedy Carter responded to the post with a witty comment.
Chennedy Carter Quips At A Fan Comment On Chicago Sky
Even though the Sky franchise brought in championship experience, the coach added some veteran stars to support its frontcourt duo, the results on the court were very disappointing. The team failed to make it in to the playoffs for the second season in a row, leaving the fans frustrated.

A fan made a list of ‘game changers’ that the 2021 Champions let go. He mocked them, mentioning the Chicago Sky front office never been scared to let anybody walk. His list included former champions and some leading scorers like Kahleah Copper, Sylvia Fowles, and Courtney Williams, who are thriving in other teams. Also, the former champion Candace Parker, who gave emotional speech during her jersey retirement ceremony, made the list.
On the post, former Sky point guard Chennedy Carter sent a humorous reply as she wrote, “I think you are forgetting someone”.
Carter was part of the 2024 Sky roster. It was her career-best season with 17.5 points, 3.5 rebounds, and 1.1 steals per game. She also had three assists in 33 games played. But it was worth noting that she was one of the shining stars during the side’s struggling season, shooting 449% from the field and 73% from the free-throw line.

But the franchise did not sign the former Texas player because of her attitude, both off and on the court, which was the main reason for the franchise’s decision to let her go. Still, the 26-year-old never misses a chance to let her presence be felt.
Chennedy Carter Reminded Chicago Sky What They Are Missing

Carter was an effective scorer for the side and formed great chemistry with Reese. The pair was instrumental on the offensive end, perfecting the pick-and-roll plays and range shooting. Her toughness on the court also encouraged the team to tighten up the defense. With the team struggling on both ends of the floor, her presence would have helped them a bit in the 2025 season.
