It was a god’s plan for Cheyenne Parker-Tyus, who felt lucky when the Las Vegas Aces came calling for her in the 2024 off-season. The player already had a connection with her Atlanta Dream side. Still, the chance to join former champions and play alongside A’ja Wilson was an opportunity she was not going to miss.
But she had a two-month break due to pregnancy and watched the Las Vegas Aces join WNBA history with a 13-game winning streak. Now just ahead of the playoffs, the 33-year-old star is ready to rejoin the team and help them win a title.

The stars are also shining on the Las Vegas Aces. A’ja Wilson leads from the front and delivers clinical performances, extending the winning run to 14 games. HC Becky Hammon won the coach of the month award and is well in place to take her side deep into the postseason. And now they will have reinforcement in the forward lineup.

Cheyenne Parker-Tyus, the 2023 All-Star, hardly played in the 2025 season due to pregnancy, but now she is available to rejoin the team. The forward is looking to play in the season’s final home game on September 10.
“I did the research to see how quickly people came back. Can it be done?, I always have the mindset that I’m built differently,” the forward told the media well before her return.

Las Vegas Aces Players Welcome Cheyenne Parker-Tyus
Although the player informed the franchise about regency before joining, the front office allowed her to take her time and return whenever possible. The kind gesture not only touched the 11-year veteran but also encouraged her to give 100% from her side.
While she was away from the court, she texted players and the coaching staff, congratulating them on winning and even showing support in losses. But the replies she got were more about her newborn and about taking care of the baby.
“I probably get on their nerves because I literally text them after every game. So, they’re probably like, ‘Girl, go nurse your baby or something.’ Meanwhile, I’m nursing him, [but] I’m watching the game, too,” said Parker-Tyus.
On her return to the gym, players were surprised and she mentioned that she is ready to contribute to the team, and now fans will see her playing for Aces and probably helping them lift the title in the 2025 season.
