The WNBA offseason is even more happening than the regular season or even playoff games. Players like Angel Reese are leading from the front. Reese recently confirmed that she’s part of Stephen Curry’s GOAT movie cast ahead of the release date. While this is her second Hollywood movie, Courtney Vandersloot is also in line to enter the entertainment industry.
The player played in only a few games with the Sky franchise after her season-ending ACL injury. The duo had a connection on the floor and later a spicy split that made the headlines. But in the offseason, the veteran player took her first step in the drama series.

Courtney Vandersloot’s Acting Debut
The Hungarian star has a solid WNBA resume that includes two championships, five All-Star selections, and first-team All-WNBA nods. Though she has had very quiet offseasons so far, the 2025 one is different as she will be an actress.
According to the latest update, the 36-year-old guard will make a guest appearance on NBC’s “Chicago Med” on a Wednesday, Jan. 21 episode. The Episode name is “Frost on Fire,” and the player will be appearing as herself, the show announced on social media.
The four photos shared from the episode gave a glimpse of the veteran guard’s role, as it shows a shot of Vandersloot gifting her No. 22 Sky jersey to a young patient at the fictional Gaffney Chicago Medical Centre. Another photo shows Vandersloot posing with Dr Dean Archer (Steven Weber) and Dr John Frost (Darren Barnet).

Although Reese has apologized to her teammates after admitting frustration, the situation still looks quite vulnerable. It’s interesting to see where the player will see herself in the league, as she didn’t explicitly mention the Sky franchise’s name.
