The Minnesota Lynx have secured the first WNBA playoff spot. Now, that must come as a huge relief for a team that is aiming to become the champions. But the relief seems to have come with a hint of complacency for the players. Facing off against the Seattle Storm, the Lynx had a shock defeat. And while Skylar Diggins-Smith led the charge for the Storm, one of her antics received backlash from Courtney Williams’s dad.
Looking to further expand their winning run, Minnesota recently took on Storm. However, the Seattle-based side came up with an unexpected twist as they registered a 93-79 victory. And while the game itself became a hot topic, Diggins-Smith’s taunts became even more viral.
Skylar Diggins-Smith Gets A Harsh Reply From Courtney Williams’ Dad
Diggins-Smith had an impressive outing against the Lynx. At the end of the third quarter, the 35-year-old had a big 3-peat shot to close out the third quarter. Immediately after, she turned towards the Lynx bench and fired some words, which were clearly not pleasant for the Lynx to hear. And that was not all. She also rubbed further insult to injury by performing Lynx’s signature ‘electric dance.’ And all of that seemingly did not sit well with Williams’s father, Donald.

Taking to his Instagram account, Donald posted a reel by mocking the Storm. Vibing to the music, Williams’s father let the caption do all the talking. “Y’all dancing and cussing on our court but y’all fighting for a playoff spot still…” read the caption.
Surely, this was a stern warning to the Seattle Storm. With 22 wins and 19 losses, Storm still has some work to do. Meanwhile, Williams’s dad is not the only one to send the warnings. The 31-year-old, too, put her opponents on notice.
