Draymond Green was once again in the news, not for ejection, though. Green confronted a fan over Angel Reese’s rebound jab in the Warriors vs. Pelicans game. Officials warned the fan as Green complained about the ‘disrespectful’ taunting.
Earlier, when speaking to the media, the Warriors’ forward didn’t mention Reese’s name, trying to avoid any confusion or show respect for the player’s name. However, the fan, who had tried to tease the 14-year veteran, mentioned her name to the media, which opened up a new topic altogether. Now, the fan clarified his motto behind using the Sky forward’s name.
Fan Clears Reason For Taunting Draymond Green By Angel Reese’s Name
The Warriors were in control of the game, and Green was one of the key players in the matchup. While home fans tried to cheer their team, one fan attempted to distract the Warriors’ player and started teasing him with Angel Reese’s name.

The courtside heckler later spoke about the reason for teasing Draymond Green by mentioning Angel Reese’s name as he wrote, “I meant no disrespect to women’s basketball or Angel Reese, I just meant to get in Draymond’s head because he is an a****le. Clearly it worked.”

Draymond Green Shows Support For Angel Reese
In all these topics, the WNBAA superstar didn’t utter a single word and stayed away. It was Green who came to support her. Not knowing the fan’s reason for using the Chi-town barnie’s name, Green blasted at the hackler and praised the two-time WNBA All-Star.
He said, “By the way, to use Angel Reese’s name as a negative connotation, I really don’t like that for the young queen because she’s done, what she’s done to become who she is.”
The former Defensive Player of the Year winner had been following the WNBA for a long time and even showed support to some players in the league. He even spoke highly about the 2025 WNBA Rookie of the Year winner Paige Bueckers.
