The Dallas Wings won their second match in a row, bettering their record to 6-13. They now move up to the 10th spot, winning three of their last four home games. Leading the side from the front was their star rookie, Paige Bueckers.
The UConn guard was already considered a ‘leader’ for the Texas-based franchise. And now, after just 19 games into the season, it’s quite evident that PB is taking over the responsibility. Her recent performance against the Phoenix Mercury is another record-setting one.
Paige Bueckers Becomes Fastest Guard To Reach 250 Career Points Since 2006
Leading the side to a 98-89 victory over third-placed Phoenix Mercury Sun, Paige scored 23 points with five assists. This is Paige’s seventh 20+ points game, taking her total to 262 points in 14 games. With that, Paige Bueckers set a record as the fastest player to reach the 250-point milestone. The record was initially held by Seimone Augustus. The Lynx’s star held the record for nearly 20 seasons.

The 2025 NCAA Champion now leads the Dallas team in scoring, assists, and steals with 18.7 points, 5.7 assists, and 1.8 steals per game in 14 games. Behind Paige’s performance, the Wings overcame some of the toughest teams in the league, like the Valkyries, Mercury, and Atlanta Dream.
