To construct a championship roster, WNBA teams around the league are constantly making changes. Recently, a new player was signed by Dallas Wings and it has been making headlines ever since. Wings has signed a top college recruit, during this ongoing season.
Since Wings has been going through a lot of injuries. The Dallas team signed guard-forward Haley Jones to a rest-of-season contract. It shouldn’t come as a surprise after Dallas suffered through a bad season.
Dallas Wings Signs Haley Jones To Their Squad
Melissa Triebwasser reports that the Wings have signed Haley Jones. It’s not just a hardship contract; it’s an agreement for the remainder of the season. The former Stanford star was with the Wings on a hardship contract last month. Jones played well. She scored eight points and grabbed seven rebounds in her final game before being released. She will be playing from now on. Cardinals selected Jones sixth overall in 2023.

Jones has earlier played for the Wings. Haley Jones is now in her third season with the WNBA. Jones played with the Phoenix Mercury before joining the Wings, and he also appeared in a few games for the Wings this season.
During her first two games with Dallas, she averaged 2.8 points, 2.7 rebounds, and 1.0 assists. While playing for Mercury, Jones averaged 2.3 points, 2.0 rebounds, and 1.0 assists in four games this season. Jones began her career with the Atlanta Dream, spending two seasons in the Eastern Conference.

Dallas Wings All Set To Face Chicago Sky
The Chicago team is all set to head to Dallas as both teams face each other in their next match-up. Fans will get to witness two of the WNBA’s top stars in action. The Chicago Sky has Angel Reese on their team. At the same time, the Dallas Wings got Paige Bueckers on their team.
After one of the worst seasons, the Wings have started making a comeback. Out of their last seven matches, the team has won five them. Veterans DiJonai Carrington and Arike Ogunbowale got injured earlier in the season, which came as a huge shock to the Wings. Since then, Bueckers has been in charge of the team. Eventually, she gave an injury scare. She took a hit to the head during her last match against the Phoenix Mercury, but it seems cool.

With Bueckers confirmed and a new signee for Wings, we could expect an interesting match between the Sky and Wings. The Wings’ season has been injury-prone, and they have suffered a lot.
Bueckers scored 11 points in 24 minutes on Monday, continuing her excellent rookie season. In 15 career games, she has averaged 18.2 points, 5.5 assists, and 4.1 rebounds, shooting 46.5 percent from the field and more than 35 percent from three-point range.
