The Las Vegas Aces vs. Phoenix Mercury WNBA finals series was one of a kind, even though Becky Hammon’s team managed a clean sweep. All their wins had different stories, game plans, and game changers. While the finals MVP, A’ja Wilson, remained a consistent performer for the whole series, Jewell Loyd, Dana Evans, and Jackie Young stepped up at crucial points.
The exciting Aces-Mercury series also broke the WNBA Finals’ viewership records with all the uncertainty and intriguing matchups. But the Aces’ bench remained the difference makers, and Evans was ready with her ‘sharp’ words to let the critics hear about it.
Fans React To Dana Evans’ ‘Last Laugh’ Post
The win and contribution by the 5-foot-6 guard were massive as Wilson called her ‘battery of the team’. Energetic on the floor, the player consistently pushed for better results and earned a reputation for changing the momentum of games in her favor.

Now, after clinching the championship, the player feels satisfied and, with similar ‘energy’, looks to take shots at her critics. She shared a post, simply expressing her feelings about the recent championship as she wrote, “it’s nothing like getting the last laugh LMAOOOOO”
😂😂😂 it’s nothing like getting the last laugh LMAOOOOO

While there is no direct mention of any individual or team, the post hit the target as many Chicago Sky and WNBA fans reacted angrily. She won her first championship with the Chicago team as a rookie with limited game time, but now, after making a significant contribution to the Aces’ championship run, the guard shared a ‘last laugh’ post on social media.

You are not a starting type of player and it's okay, coach T-Spoon over estimated you, it's okay to be carried to a ring averaging 6 points, just like you did in Chicago.

She played well in Vegas.

But the star was not done with the ‘last laugh post only. She followed it up with another fiery post, shutting down the critics and hitting back at the trolls.
Dana Evans Fired Up After Championship
Losing starter place and getting blame for the Chicago Sky’s losses already irked the guard who revived her career by making a switch to the Aces. Evans accepted the bench role as a backup guard for her Olympian teammates and yet played a significant role in the championship run. She hit back at the critics, saying, “Y’all harassed me for over a year, bt I can’t say nothing? LMAOOOOOOOOO ain’t no fun when the rabbit got the gun.”

The 2021 Wings’ draft pick averaged just above six points and two assists in the regular season, while her stats improved drastically to double-digit scoring (10.2) and three assists per game in the postseason, and also heavily contributed at the defensive end. Even Dana Evans set a WNBA finals record during Game 1’s win over the Mercury team.
