Apart from her strategies and in-game rotations, the South Carolina coach is famous for her courtside attire. The stylish coach always prefers branded clothing and carries it well too.
But for the game against the Tennessee Volunteers, the 55-year-old coach chose to show up in NFL rookie Nick Emmanwori’s jersey, and the reason was simple. Former South Carolina star won Super Bowl LX with the Seattle Seahawks, beating the New England Patriots on Sunday evening. “[He’s a] Gamecock and this is Raven’s man. So, I gotta represent,” Staley told Howe.

The 35th overall pick in the 2025 NFL draft spent three seasons at South Carolina, where he earned All-SEC and All-American honors as a junior. Shining for the Seahawks in his very first season, with 81 tackles, 2.5 sacks, 11 pass breakups, and a sack. He was even a finalist for the NFL Rookie Defensive Player of the Year accolade. Moreover, he is in a relationship with Staley’s star guard, Raven Johnson.

His performances not only made the Seahawks champions, but also made every South Carolina supporter happy for him. Staley showed her appreciation by wearing his jersey to the NCAA game.
This is not the first time Coach Staley has shown love for South Carolina players. She famously called A’ja Wilson GOAT in the WNBA, pointing at her accolades. And picks her another South Carolina champion as a future megastar.

The inspirational Coach attended Boston’s Unrivaled game and even praised her for her performances. Earlier in the WNBA season, too, she [raised the Fever forward for her hard work and talent. AB also visited the campus during the offseason.
When the reporter asked her about AB’s presence in the stands, she said, “I’m sure they (South Carolina players) are going to pick her brain about how well she made the transition from college to the pros. She’s on the All-WNBA Second Team, and I think she’s on her way to being MVP because she works extremely hard on her craft.”
The Fever forward is also working towards perfecting her skills and adding more to her game to take more responsibility in the upcoming seasons.
