The WNBA CBA confirmation has been a big win for the WNBPA, as its director mentions the deal represents what the players were fighting for. Dawn Staley was one of the coaches standing firm behind the players’ association and encouraging them to keep fighting until the league accepts their demands.
And now, when the CBA deal is verbally sealed, the South Carolina coach is looking ahead to a bright future for her players and used the CBA to encourage them.

Dawn Staley Uses CBA Deal To Encourage South Carolina Players
The CBA Deal allows the stars to be part of the revenue for the league and also have higher salaries. Former star Diana Taurasi also praised the players’ association for the historic deal and reflected on how the league has changed in three decades.
Coach Staley also used the same example to encourage players and said, “I will say the players’ association and all the officers in the players’ association, just bore down and fought for their worth and the worth of current players as well as the future. They understand they have to be on this side of such an historical deal, they understand they have to be on this side of history to move our game forward,”’
Dawn Staley talked about the WNBA’s new CBA:
