The Los Angeles Sparks had quite a memorable night. Facing off against the Seattle Storm, very few expected the Sparks to come up with a win. But after a thriller of a game, it was the Los Angeles girls who were smiling the brightest. And all of these happened thanks to a certain Dearica Hamby.
Hamby is on the rise at the moment. And her incredible display on the court has made her an asset for the team. But the 31-year-old’s heroics during the ending moments made all the noise. With a clutch throw, Hamby ensured the Sparks won 94-91.
Dearica Hamby Steals It In Final Moments
The game was evenly contested right from the word go. Going into the halftime, it was the Sparks who carried a slender lead of 46-45. However, right after the game began, the Storm bounced back and took the lead in the fourth quarter. With the game looking to go into overtime, the 31-year-old decided to spice up things.
Hamby could be seen showing some significant intent as the clock ticked away. And right at the last minute, the 31-year-old got an opportunity. And she grabbed it with both hands. Hamby shot a clutch and to seal the victory as the Sparks are now 15-15 on the table.

Hamby finished the game with figures of 19 points, seven rebounds, and two assists. Apart from Hamby, other notable performances included that of Kelsey Plum. Playing for 37 minutes, Plum scored 20 points. A returning Cameron Brink also chipped in with 14 to guide the Sparks over the line. Meanwhile, this was not the only time Hamby’s last-moment heroics saved the Los Angeles Sparks.

There is something about Dearica Hamby and the Seattle Storm. When the two teams faced off in early August, the game went into double overtime. And once again, it was the 31-year-old who had a last-minute blast to clinch a thriller.
