Sophie Cunningham seems to be enjoying her offseason to the fullest. Only recently, Cunningham pointed out her Victoria’s Secret dream.
She also got candid about her preferences in choosing romantic partners. However, in her recent Instagram stories, fans saw the 29-year-old WNBA star enjoying a fun vacation.
The Fever star uploaded pictures and videos of her beach holiday with friends. However, amidst the fun and frolic, one particular phrase included in the pictures made some significant waves in the WNBA realm.
Is Sophie Cunningham Leaving Indiana Fever?
Cunningham joined the Indiana Fever on a one-year contract this year. And immediately, she clicked with the fans. Her aggressive style of play and her close friendship with Caitlin Clark made her a fan-favorite.

As she has entered free agency, Fever Fans have urged the front office to re-sign Cunningham. However, according to her latest update, things might not be going as the Fever fans wish.
One of Cunningham’s stories had a picture of the sea blending into the horizon. She captioned the post, revealing the location as “Florida, future home.”

Soon after this, eagle-eyed fans began to speculate whether the 29-year-old was trying to hint at something. For one, Florida does not have a specific WNBA team. While they did have the Orlando Magic earlier, it no longer exists.
Other sources speculated that Cunningham might be signing for a team that might be easily accessible for travel from Florida. However, none of the rumors has been confirmed yet.
Meanwhile, Cunningham recently updated that the Indiana Fever is still helping her with her injury.
Sophie Cunningham Overwhelmed By Indiana Fever’s Help
Cunningham suffered a brutal MCL tear that made her sit out the entire season. Surely, sitting on the sidelines watching her teammates play was not a great experience for her.
Thus, the 29-year-old Fever star is now primarily focused on completing her rehabilitation on time. After all, she is eager to come back next season in full force.

In a recent episode of the ‘Show Me Something’ podcast, Cunningham revealed that she is technically no longer with the Fever. Yet, the management has been providing her with every possible help to aid her recovery.
“Technically, I’m not signed to Indiana. So, I’m still working with them up to a certain point and then if I re-sign, then I can continue to work with them. But I have Frank out here who’s doing it and then Todd and Maria are doing it back in Indiana,” said Cunningham.
Surely, Cunningham’s new post has ignited the rumors. But as of now, her chances of staying back in Indiana look pretty solid.
