DiJonai Carrington Loses Her Contact Lens
Carrington expressed a grateful feeling upon moving to the Minnesota Lynx, a championship contender team from the Dallas Wings. After playing in 10+ games with the side, facing her former team, she was quite comfortable on the court. She even got a rare start for the Lynx. But the moment of horror came in the second quarter as she lost her contacts while on offense.
Wings guard Grace Berger helped the former Baylor player find her contacts. While the referees halted the game to let the year-old deal with the situation, she hurriedly put the lens back after one failed attempt.
A staff member came to help her with the ‘lens liquid’ to disinfect the fallen lens, but the player decided to put it back without using the solution. She continued with the possession but played in just 10 minutes due to a shoulder injury and finished the game with four points and one rebound.
