DiJonai Carrington has just joined the Minnesota Lynx from the Dallas Wings, and she is immediately making her presence felt. While she struggled under Chris Koclanes’ system in Dallas, her inclusion on the Lynx’s side might prove to be a game-changer. However, while she had a merry run in Lynx’s recent victory against the Liberty, Carrington was bothered by an entirely different fiasco.
Now, beating the defending champions three times in a row surely felt special. But their elation was doubled as the Lynx celebrated the birthday of their mascot, Prowl. While the team danced around the mascot, the 27-year-old’s alleged lack of activity had her deliver a five-word reaction.
DiJonai Carrington Gives A Hilarious Reply Following Her Alleged Dance Snub
Carrington had a decent game against the Liberty. While she was on the court for thirteen minutes, the 27-year-old chipped in with four points, a couple of rebounds, and an assist. But her on-court performance was the least of her concerns. Soon after the game was over, the Minnesota players performed a synced dance adorned in birthday hats and horns for Prowl.
This is where things got tricky for the former Wings guard. While she was dancing at the back of the pack, fans soon started to speculate if she even danced. Such a reaction from the fans seems to have annoyed the 27-year-old. She immediately took to her X account and had a one-line reply.
“Y’all gon leave me alone now?????,” Dijonai Carrington wrote.

Meanwhile, to prove the authenticity of the fact that Carrington indeed took part in the dance, Lynx’s official handle came up with a post. They posted a zoomed-in clip of Carrington dancing in her merry way. Surely, this was one of the hilarious back-and-forths the WNBA guard had after joining her new WNBA championship contender team. The other instance came when head coach Cheryl Reeves gave Carrington a unique solution for her hair.

DiJonai Carrington Receives A Hilarious Gift From Cheryl Reeves
Apart from her stellar on-court antics, one thing that separates Carrington from others is her hair. The 27-year-old is pretty much obsessed with her hair and often experiments with its colors. And while she likes to flaunt her luscious locks, the WNBA guard’s repeated hair flips during games have become quite popular among the fans. However, in a recent development, head coach Cheryl Reeves had a hilarious gift to help Dijonai Carrington keep her hair in place.
“After practice, we did the huddle and she’s like, ‘Oh I got something for Ne’ and she gives me a pack of bobby pins so I don’t do that sh*t no more, I guess,” Carrington said. “I said I won’t argue but I told her, ‘It’s the layers, I got layers.’ It’s tough being a baddie out here y’all, it’s real tough,” said Dijonai Carrington.

Well, these two incidents are surely part of a lighthearted interaction. However, it’s worth noting how Carrington is enjoying her stay with the Lynx. Her on-court performance will likely reflect such a happy mindset in the coming days.
