The rookies took over the WNBA seasons with players like Paige Bueckers, Caitlin Clark, Angel Reese and Dominique Malonga matching the vets early in their career. Rookies got hold of many records and set to dethrone some established stars for the top spot in the league. Unrivaled league is not different.
The expansion team, Breeze BC, raced to the second spot with young players on the roster. While forward Rickea Jackson revealed the secret sauce to Breeze BC’s success, PB is at the heart of their surge. And Dominique Malonga tells us why.

Dominique Malonga with High Praise For Paige Bueckers
Even though Dominique Malonga’s Unrivalled entry received massive criticism following her abrupt contract termination with Fenerbahce, she is certainly making a huge impact in games. Playing under coach Noelle Quinn helped her much at Unrivaled, but there is a ‘Bueckers factor’ that played a crucial role in her development.
During the press conference, the French star opened up on pairing with the 2025 Rookie of the Year winner. She said, “It’s been amazing. She’s a great playmaker, she sees the floor very well — I just have to be ready anytime because I know with her, I can get that ball all the time.”
