The Unrivaled is prospering at the moment. And with it, the players who are playing in the league are reaping some rich benefits too. Navigating her first offseason, Dominique Malonga looks pretty happy to have been involved with the three-on-three tournament. And that was evident from her recent thundering dunk for Breeze BC.
Playing for the Seattle Storm, Malonga had been pretty impressive in her last season. But coming into Unrivaled has been an entirely different experience for her. The tournament has thrown her into managing tight spaces, along with some harsh physical battles. And thanks to all of this, Malonga has been able to upgrade one of the aspects of her game.

Dominique Malonga Points Out A Major Improvement
Malonga will be looking to take her game to the next level in the upcoming WNBA season. And for that, she seems to have already started working on her weak points.
Speaking about the same, Malonga stated, “I would say my physicality, how I step into the games. Here the game is very physical and very fast. It’s me navigating that pace and trying to find my reps. I really try to be efficient close to the basket in my pick and roll.”
Playing for the Breeze BC, she has been averaging 15 points per game. This will surely be a major boost, as Malonga’s record in the WNBA too, was quite impressive. She averaged 14.3 minutes, 7.7 points per game. And this is quite an impressive stat for a rookie. Meanwhile, teaming up with another WNBA rookie, Malonga is impressed playing alongside Paige Bueckers.

Bueckers has been one of the best rookies aside from Caitlin Clark in the WNBA. Following her Rookie of the Year season, she has carried it forward to the Unrivaled as well. Thankfully, playing beside such a talent has resulted in Malonga developing her game significantly.
Reflecting on the same, she stated, “It’s been amazing. She’s a great playmaker, she sees the floor very well — I just have to be ready anytime because I know with her, I can get that ball all the time.”
