Dwyane Wade Claims A’ja Wilson Defeating NBA Players
While the 29-year-old star is ruling the WNBA, Dwyane Wade also sees her thriving against the NBA players. He mentioned that the Aces forward is smart, and not all basketball players are that smart.

In a conversation with Lou Williams, the three-time champion said that a few WNBA players are capable of beating NBA players, and Wilson is certainly one of them.
“So you don’t know the game outside of pick and roll. Get into a 1-on-1 with someone like A’ja Wilson, who knows how to play basketball, who’s got crazy footwork and all that, your a** is gonna get torn up if you don’t know the game. This isn’t just about being an athlete. You know what I’m saying? Like, ‘I jump higher than you.’ That’s not gonna be the thing. So she can definitely cook,” Wade said.

A’ja Wilson Is Leading MVP Race
The 2025 WNBA season was one of the closest tussles in the league’s history. There are multiple contenders for the title, with the team’s respective star players staying hot in the season. The Las Vegas Aces’ star A’ja Wilson had been on a strong run, but faces challenge from Minnesota Lynx forward Napheesa Collier, Phoenix Mercury forward Alyssa Thomas, Atlanta Dream guard Allisha Gray, and Indiana Fever guard Kelsey Mitchell. Even though there are five finalists for the WNBA’s 2025 MVP award, Collier and Wilson are strong contenders for the accolade.
