Emma Meesseman announced her arrival with the New York Liberty in style. Making her debut against the Connecticut Sun, the 32-year-old showed glimpses of her incredible hoops skillset. Now, in essence, this was a crucial game for the Liberty. Looking to aim for the championship, New York lost four games in a row.
Moreover, their arch-rivals, the Minnesota Lynx, recently made a huge statement with a 53-point victory against the Aces. Thankfully, Meesseman had a splendid game, coming to the aid of her team.
Emma Meesseman Shakes Off Initial Jitters To Impress Later
It was not an easy task for Emma Meeseman to come in and deliver straight away. After all, the likes of Brianna Stewart, Nyara Sabally, and Kennedy Burke were missing out, the expectations were pretty high. And all of that did catch up with Meesseman as well.
Soon after the start of the game, the 32-year-old got some easy chances. Unfortunately, Meesseman could not capitalize and missed a couple of shots within the initial sixty-five seconds of the game. However, she soon caught up. As the game went to the final twenty minutes, the veteran dropped 11 points. She finished with figures of 11 points, three assists, and two rebounds.

Playing for the Chicago Sky, the 32-year-old was without a team for a significant period of time. However, spending a large chunk of her career with the Washington Mystics, Meesseman blossomed extensively. In the 2019 WNBA finals, she was adjudged the finals MVP. Meanwhile, Meesseman was not alone. She was ably complemented by Sabrina Ionescu.
