One thing that fans love about sports, other than the game and result, is the friendly banter between players during games. The WNBA is no exception, with many big personalities trying to control the games with their slang. Caitlin Clark had a viral moment with referees, Kelsey Plum had fun banter with Paige Bueckers, and now Erica Wheeler came across one.
While playing against the Phoenix Mercury, the Seattle star had one on-court moment, where her opponent tried to distract her. After the game, the veteran guard reacted in the same way.
Erica Wheeler Responds To Funny On-Court Moment
The game was tight, with the Storm looking to stay strong for the final playoff spot. A win would move them closer to seventh place and give them a one-game advantage over the ninth-place Sparks. Both teams were locked in for a close tussle, with one possession being a major deciding factor.

While guarding Mercury’s top scorer, Kahleah Copper, during the game, the 34-year-old Seattle star got some confusing words from her opponent. “E you got a damn booger. Get it.” A harmless statement just to slow down the opponent and get a slight edge on the offensive end.
While how much it affected the former Fever guard is not clear, she clearly enjoyed the ‘try’. After the game, she shared the incident on social media, showing love for her competitor, Copper.
“Aye @kahleahcopper you love me real bad! mid game running up the court you like “E you got a damn booger. Get it ” like yoooooooo what??! I love you dawg!” Erica Wheeler wrote about the incident, sharing it with fans. The Mercury star hasn’t replied yet, but fans loved the ‘small talk’.
