The Caitlin Clark hype is for real! Impressing in college, Clark had a huge build-up coming to the WNBA. Joining the Indiana Fever last season, Clark had one of the most stupendous rookie seasons. It was largely for her immaculate showing that the WNBA boomed as a league. Thousands of fans flocked over to catch a glimpse of the Fever star. And now, as Clark gets to her second year in the WNBA, she has maintained the hype.
Nursing a groin injury, Clark is unable to take the hardwood for the Fever. However, as she is travelling with her team, the limelight seems to be pretty much all over her. Interestingly, her overpopularity among the United Center fans made ESPN analyst Robin Lundberg share his take.
Robin Lundberg Comments On The Caitlin Clark Trap
The Indiana Fever had a happy outing as they triumphed over the Sky 93-78. And while this was the story on the court, outside of it, it was Caitlin Clark mania. Right in the backyard of none other than Angel Reese. In a shocking revelation, the Sky fans could be spotted swarming Clark for her autograph.
In fact, a video circulated on the internet that showed the 23-year-old signing autographs for almost two and a half minutes straight. Reposting the video on X, formerly known as Twitter, Robin Lundberg had a subtle reply to Angel Reese.
“Does this count as taking over a trap?” said Lundberg.

Now, this was a dig on Lundberg’s part towards Reese. For the uninitiated, during the All-Star weekend in Indiana, Reese campaigned for Reebok. She took to the streets and began to socialize with Caitlin Clark’s hometown fans. Meanwhile, there is an air of positivity building around the Fever. They have now won back-to-back games against Caitlin Clark, and Stephanie White cannot be happier.

Stephanie White Happy To Get Back To Winning Ways Without Caitlin Clark
When Caitlin Clark got injured, a chill ran down the spines of the Fever fans. They immediately began speculating on how the team would be able to function without their star. But as it turns out, Stephanie White and her team have done a remarkable job. Ahead of their victory against the Sky, Fever defeated former champions Aces in their home. And immediately, White was all praises about her team.
“We answered runs today, y’all. We had one another’s back today, y’all. In the moments where it seemed like they could have made a little bit of a comeback, we stopped that. We sure did. Now we have to be able to continue to stack that. Maintain that consistency right there. I’m so proud of you guys. So proud of you guys. That was a hard-fought win. You earned it,” White told players during the locker-room meeting (Via X/IndianaFever).

Thus, with things looking rosy for the Indiana Fever, fans can’t wait to see how things pan out next.
