The WNBA games are becoming increasingly competitive and unpredictable, with a growing number of teams featuring star players and impactful role players. Very few counted on the expansion team of the 2025 season – the Golden State Valkyries to have an excellent season, but the Valkyries made it to the playoffs. Similarly, the Indiana Fever defied the odds to advance to the postseason despite missing multiple key players.
They also shocked the world, forcing Game 5 against the mighty Aces in the semifinal series. Sophie Cunningham hyped up the Indiana Fever for the feat achieved, but now it’s time for the reality check.
ESPN Makes Bold Prediction For Indiana Fever Vs. Las Vegas Aces Game 5
The WNBA playoffs have been very unpredictable. The Las Vegas Aces, with their impressive season, were supposed to clean sweep the Seattle Storm in the first round, but needed Game 3 to advance. On the other hand, the Atlanta Dream were the outright favorite against the sixth-seeded Indiana Fever, but Stephanie White’s team overcame the challenge to win the series in three games.

Now, ESPN made another prediction for Game 5 of the Fever vs Aces series at the Michelob Ultra Arena, wherein the media house favors the hosts. The predictor shows a 64.1% chance for Becky Hammon’s team, whereas the Fever takes the remaining 35.9% chance.

Given that the Fever has surprised many so far in the competition and even won the Commissioner’s Cup in the 2025 season, making such predictions is a bold step. But it finally comes down to who plays better on the night on the court to decide the winner, and Indiana HC is confident about her team’s chances.
HC Stephanie White Confident About Win In Game 5
The Game 4 win was a bit shaky, as the 2012 champions needed to push extra hard in the final minutes, even though they controlled the proceedings until the third quarter. HC Stephanie white warned her team about the same ahead of the series decider and still showed confidence in her players to clinch the series.
“We’ve been through everything. So being in these types of situations isn’t new to us. It’s when we’ve been at our best, and we’ve got to continue to be,” White said in a press conference after Game 4.
Incidentally, the Fever are 3-0 so far in the elimination games. They won back-to-back matches against the Dream in the opening series, with the series decider taking place on the away court. White and Co. will look to repeat the feat, this time at Sin City.
