Stephanie White enjoyed a very productive first season as head coach of the Indiana Fever team and even earned a lot of praise for her team’s performance. The 48-year-old was recently featured on Sue Bird’s podcast, where she discussed various WNBA-related topics and highlighted Caitlin Clark’s unstoppable work ethic, having coached her for just one season.
The genuine message was to highlight the hard work her superstar puts into her game, despite possessing extraordinary skill sets. But fans didn’t like the Fever HC’s comment and even slammed her for ruining CC’s game.

WNBA Fans Negatively React To Stephanie White’s Comments On Caitlin Clark
Despite the 2024 rookie’s injury and unavailability for most of the season, coach Stephanie White never missed a chance to praise her playmaker. She had good words for CC’s impact from the sidelines, her commitment to the game and team, and, moreover, her overall work ethic.
In a recent interview, White mentioned her hard work to reach the top position, as she said, “With Caitlin, you know she’s a hard worker because of what she’s been able to accomplish. But until you see that there is no wasted movements, no wasted reps, no wasted anything, you just have such level of respect for how she goes about her work every day,” White said.
How dare she imply that Caitlin still has stuff to work on

NBA Commissioner Lauds Caitlin Clark’s Impact
The CBA negotiations are ongoing following disagreements between the parties on specific aspects of the contract. The WNBPA even provided an example of megastar rookies like Paige Bueckers and Angel Reese, along with the Fever guard, to illustrate the earning difference between players and the league.
Acknowledging the same, NBA Commissioner Adam Silver said, “To see the popularity of Caitlin (Clark), to see the Fever exploding in popularity — not just here in Indianapolis, Indiana, but globally — it’s remarkable.”
