The Unrivaled League kicked off its Season 2 in style, with many exciting games taking place on the opening day. Top players were in action with defending champions Rose BC making a statement win, while players like Paige Bueckers and many other young stars made their debut in the league.
Bueckers opened up on the difficulty in playing in Unrivaled compared to the WNBA, yet shone on the floor to hand her side a victory. Sadly, a few fans missed the opportunity to see her thrive on the court as the game time overlapped with some fans’ working hours. WNBA fans expressed their anger over the league’s schedule.

Fans React To Unrivaled’s Weekday Game Schedule
With the WNBA handing out disappointing news regarding the CB discussions, Unrivaled presented a sigh of relief for basketball fans. When the league announced its schedule, every fan was excited to check Unrivaled viewing options and games for their favorite teams.
Notably, with the addition of two new teams and an extended schedule, the league had to incorporate a few games into morning sessions. With eight total teams and 104 regular-season games, the league needed to adjust the schedule, providing sufficient rest time and game time for players.
Although fans were okay with the weekend morning games, they criticized the league for applying the same logic to weekdays, which they would definitely miss.

Amidst all the WNBA and Unrivalled mix-up, fans might even see the two leagues joining hands in the future, with the Unrivalled President extending a hand.
Alex Bazzell Ready for WNBA-Unrivaled Partnership
Many presumed Project B and Unrivaled as the direct competitors for the WNBA. Firstly, both leagues thrived on the WNBA’s star players, and the athletes also compared the league’s perks. But the initial motive behind the league was to provide players with options during the WNBA offseason. And now, with the CBA discussions hitting a roadblock, Bazzell has a solution.
“We’re not in constant dialogue about that … but as I’ve made very clear, we are open to growing the ecosystem, whichever way that looks like. Nothing is on the table or off the table. … I’m not going to speculate what could happen down the road, but everyone knows our door is always open,” the Unrivaled President said.
Unrivaled co-founder Alex Bazzell on whether there's a "conflict of interest" that Napheesa Collier and Breanna Stewart are on the WNBPA board:

"We've never once looked at this as a competitive tool towards the WNBA. … I'm hopeful that they come to a CBA agreement." pic.twitter.com/iU5NOGjkn7
Although there are no concrete steps towards a possible merger or partnership, the idea is intriguing and might bring something new to the fans.
