The veteran forward receives much love from fans and players for her game on the floor, and also for her constant connection with fans, even in remote locations.
Lisa Leslie Surprises Fans In Compton
The decorated star was born in Compton and attended USC. Reaching new highs and setting standards in the WNBA, the forward remained one of the most decorated stars in the league. So, a day before attending the NBA All-Star game, she brought the All-Star energy to her birthplace.
Shoe Palace shut down its Compton location for a private experience presented by Nike. The event had brunch, custom Air Force 1s, and space intentionally created just for them. And then came the surprise for the fans as the three-time WNBA MVP entered the room
“I’m so happy and proud to be from Compton. Where I’m from is what keeps me grounded. What I did, that is like a job, but that is not who I am,” Leslie mentioned as she met fans.
