Team USA’s preparation for the FIBA World Cup qualifiers caught everyone’s attention as the players showcased their skills on the floor. In a special scrimmage, cameras caught Caitlin Clark, Angel Reese, and Paige Bueckers locked into an intense drill at Team USA camp. Everyone showed love for the trio of future superstars, who synced well despite playing on different teams in the league.
The WNBA franchises also took opportunities to highlight their star players’ performances at the national camp and hype them up. While most teams were active on social media, posting updates on their superstars’ status and work at the camp, one franchise remained silent – the Chicago Sky. This silence was a major hint for fans who quickly made predictions about Reese’s future at the team.

Fans Predict Angel Reese’s Departure From Chicago Sky
Every WNBA franchise, whose players were at the USA training camp, even had their representatives at Duke University to keep tabs on their star athlete. They even posted some exclusive videos and photos to keep the fans updated. But the Chicago Sky stayed away from this despite having tits two-time All-Star at the training camp.
While using the opportunity to boost their fanbase is a general practice for any franchise, Sky’s decision to stay away from the camp is confusing.

Recently, an ESPN analyst predicted that the Sky franchise will keep hold of both Reese and Kamila Cardoso in the upcoming expansion draft. But their recent action highlights their intention to part ways with the former LSU star, and even if they secure her from the expansion draft, they could use her as a trade chip, at least, fans think so.

Angel Reese Explains Team USA Camp Selection for Caitlin Clark And Young WNBA Stars
The New Look Team USA training camp was without some familiar faces, yet the energy was high with 10 players under the age of 25. Reese was one of those who sought a challenge and received a call for the trials.
Reese explained the reason behind their call-ups as she discussed the significance of training camp for the youngsters. The Sky forward said, “Everybody wants to make the team. It’s an honor to be even in this camp. They didn’t just select us for no reason. They handpicked us because they thought we would bring something to the table.”
Caitlin Clark also made her team USA vision clear during the exit interview and got the chance to prove herself at the camp.
