The WNBA 2025 season may be over, but the women’s basketball action is set to continue with the EuroLeague and other leagues featuring WNBA stars. Kaitlyn Chen clocks first-ever double-double in her third EuroLeague game for USK Praha, while other players are also shining in the Australian league. But the action will return to the US in January with the Unrivaled league. Interestingly, there won’t be stars like Angel Reese and Sabrina Ionescu.
With rookies like Paige Bueckers and Sonia Citron making their debut in the 3-on-3 league, many players from the inaugural season will miss the upcoming edition. Fans react to the news of these absentees.

Many players, including Kate Martin, Alyssa Thomas, Lexie Hull, Breanna Stewart, and Napheesa Collier, returned to the league. The players who missed out are Angel Reese, Kayla McBride, Katie Lou Samuelson, Courtney Vandersloot, Sabrina Ionescu, Jewell Loyd, Tiffany Hayes, and Stefanie Dolson.

Even though fans showed no mercy, commenting on the players’ absence, they are busy on another front. The Chi-Town Barbie is starring in the entertainment industry while Sab is enjoying her offseason with her Liberty teammates.
Angel Reese With Busiest WNBA Offseason
The former LSU star made her mark in her rookie season, earning a spot in the All-Rookie Team. The second season had been very effective, showing significant improvements in her shooting and scoring. Despite her team failing to reach the playoffs, her individual performance was outstanding.
In the off-season, Reese has also kept herself busy with her podcast, working out, and becoming a Victoria’s Secret Angel. Her signature shoe and movie debut also made the news. But since it has been nearly two months since she played competitive basketball, she can’t help but miss the game. The 23-year-old said as much in a post she made on social media.
ugh i miss hoops!
