After sweating out on the WNBA court, the players finally got a chance to cool off during the off-season break. While a few stars are on vacation, Sabrina Ionescu is busy with her new collabs. WNBA star was spotted at the SKIMS bash as part of the brand’s collaboration with the WNBA players.
Importantly, Sabrina is already under the Fenty Beauty brand contract following the New York Liberty’s collaboration with Rihana’s mega brand. Adding SKIMS to her list of brands will hand the guard another mega brand collab. But fans are not having it as they warned the sharp shooter to stay away.
Fans React To Sabrina Ionescu’s Photo With Kim Kardashian
As the WNBA expands, the sponsors and brands are seeking partnerships with the star players. The newest brand to come into the league with its sportwear fits is Kim Kardashian’s SKIMS. When the brand signed partnerships with Candace Parker, DiJonai Carrington, Skylar Diggins, Kelsey Plum, and Cameron Brink, they rolled out a campaign featuring WNBA stars.
Another big-name whose hand hasn’t yet been grasped by the brand is Sabrina Ionescu. She was present at the SKIMS launch, however, and even posted a selfie with Kim Kardashian to her Instagram Story.

The photo quickly went viral as fans commented on the same, warning the WNBA star to keep distance from the businesswoman.

While the 2024 champion already represents many successful brands, it will be interesting to watch whether she will partner with SKIMS or not. On the court, though, the Liberty is still unclear about Ionescu’s back-court partner.
New York Liberty Might Have Different Back-Court Partner For Sabrina Ionescu
While the superstar guard is an efficient ball handler, she has been ineffective playing at the number 2 position on the team. Journalist Lucas Kaplan questioned GM Kolb about how effective Ionescu’s pairing with Natasha Cloud was.
The Liberty GM admitted that the front office was currently evaluating the best possible back-court pairing for Ionescu.
“That’s something we have been and are currently discussing in terms of the Tash pairing. I don’t know that we really solved the off-ball production opportunities with Tash in ways that were conducive to creating success for Sabrina,” Kolb said in the press conference.
He even added that the franchise will be looking to evolve with the WNBA, as Kolb explained his reasons for firing HC Sandy Brondello. While the franchise is looking for a perfect partner for Sab, their answer might eventually fall on whoever assumes the post of the head coach next season.
