Fans Support Angel Reese Over 6ix9ine’s Cringey Layup Mockery
Even though the 2024 rookie improved a lot in her second season with better efficiency, playmaking, and shot range, trolls targeted her early-season struggles and gave her multiple nicknames. Recently, 6ic9ine also did the same on live video.
In the video shared online, from Twitch, the rapper tried to mock the Chicago Sky forward with a dreadful lay-up attempt. He said, “What, that black girl that plays in WNBA?” and when he received Reese’s name, he added, “Look at me, look at me, I’m Angel Reese.”

Fans reacted angrily to his comments and even asked Reese to sue the rapper for his comments.

This is not the first time the 24-year-old star faced such ‘mockery’. In the NBA, Draymond Green confronts a fan over Angel Reese’s Rebound jab in the Warriors vs. Pelicans Game. Interestingly, the star is not remotely connected to the incident.
Given the experience of such trolls and their performance so far in the league, Reese has devised a plan for the offseason.

The 2024 rookie is the most followed WNBA player, but this popularity has also attracted some negativity. This negativity includes musical aspects, including mockery and fake news. Recently, Reese spoke about such a fake quote trend on social media. Even after that, she has a plan to keep growing, as she revealed in her latest post on ‘X’, formerly known as Twitter.

This could be the best way to work and improve silently, shutting down trolls and critics with outstanding performances on the floor. After a significant improvement in year 2 in WNBA, it will be interesting to watch what Chi-Town Barbie brings for the upcoming season.
