Rose BC were down but never out. The team got their star player, Angel Reese, back in the lineup following a four-team trade, opening up a place for the forward. The player was also pumped up to get back on the floor and help the defending champions aim for the title again.
Interestingly, analyzing the mega move, Atlanta Dream co-owner Renee Montgomery mentioned that Reese is exactly what Rose BC needs to save their season. But her recent play contradicted the claim as fans targeted the megastar on social media.

Fans Criticize Angel Reese’s Missed Lay-Ups.
The addition of the Sky forward was a big move for the Rose BC, who were struggling to reach the playoffs, and the key reason for their struggles was poor defence. Adding the star forward not only solved the issue but also provided Chelsea Gray with another post player to pass to.
In just two games, the player made an immediate impact, marshalling the post region and also blocking the incoming shots. While her defence was top-notch, she struggles a bit with offence. On video on social media showed Reese missing back-to-back layups and grabbing offensive rebounds.

Though the former LSU star was unlucky not to score over Allisha Thomas on the play, she was the reason Rose BC recorded a victory over Laces BC and clinched the playoff spot.
Angel Reese With Game-Winning Blocks In Closing Moments
The 2024 rookie shares emotional gratitude for the exhaustion from the achievements she long prayed for. Her moment in the Unrivaled season 2 came in just her second game. She demonstrated a capacity for clutch defensive play, which eventually became the difference maker.
In the game against the Laces, the star blocked Jackie Young’s two back-to-back attempts, keeping her team in the game. With the target score at 70, the Laces drew play to level the score, on 64, with a lay-up by the Aces’ maestro. But the Sky forward not only blocks her shot twice but also wins possession back for the team.

Maybe she missed an opportunity to showcase her offensive game, but the 24-year-old is still the defensive juggernaut on the floor.
